Basketball

Here is a sweet video of Preston playing basketball with Mommy and Papa over the Christmas weekend. Many of you know that Preston is very tall (99th percentile) for his age and if this continues, perhaps basketball is in his future...who knows. Enjoy!

More fun on Christmas

After spending a couple days at the Denton home, we went over and have spent the past day or so with the Dalbey family for Christmas. As always, we are having a very nice time, complete with wonderful food, family and playing with Preston :) Here are a few pictures of our time together today. I hope to post a video later. We hope you all have had a wonderful Christmas with family and/or friends in celebrating the birth of our savior.

Christmas Tree

"Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, thy leaves are so unchanging".

It is so sweet to watch Preston experience all the new sights and sounds that come with Christmas. We are having a wonderful time at Grandma and Grandad Denton's house and will be sure to post more photo's tomorrow. FYI - Preston received part 1 of his 'Thomas the Train' set tonight and he loved it. I think he sat and played with his new train for at least 20 minutes...we were amazed!

Ready for Christmas

The Dalbey Trio has been very excited this week as the Christmas season is here! Steven took a couple days off to hang out with Preston and as you can see by the photo, he is a super happy little boy.

Gardenland Express

We took Preston to the Gardenland Express yesterday. This is an annual train display at the St. Louis Botanical Gardens. It is a beautiful display and so much fun to watch Preston's eyes light up when he saw each train pass by. Grandad Denton also came along with us as he has a passion for trains. I think we are all ready to dig out the train set from the basement this Christmas :)

New Cell Phone

As of today, I have a new cell phone. I am so excited because I am able to check my phone messages, text messages, email and calendar with ease. I am very thankful! My old phone was great, but it didn't have the nice features my new cell phone gives me. I also feel like a 'real' grown up with this phone. Thank you Steven and Merry Christmas to me. Oh yes, I do not have any of my old numbers...so please send me your contact information via email or facebook.

The Dalbey Trio meets Levi

The Dalbey Trio headed over to the Fowler home this afternoon to meet sweet Levi. Levi's parents, Lindon and Megan, have known Steven since the Geneva College/Pittsburgh days and I met Megan at their wedding and then when we worked together at Central. We are so thankful that they have been blessed with sweet Levi - he is a beautiful little boy! I also had the opportunity to take Levi's photo's today. I wanted to do this for them as a gift and also to work on my photography skills. Thank you Folwer family for allowing me to capture some beautiful memories of sweet Levi. Here are a few photo's from our visit. You will notice in one of the photos that Preston was VERY excited to meet the baby - so sweet!

The first two photos were taken a couple weeks ago...
The following photo's were taken today during our visit...he is growing so fast!

Cell Phone Not Working

My cell phone is temporarily out of service. I dropped it in a cup of soda and now it will not work. I am trying a few things to see if I can fix my phone, but I may just end up buying a new phone. If so, this will be my Christmas gift - even though I really wanted a few other items. So, if you need to get a hold of me, please send me an email or message me via facebook. I will keep you updated.

Hwy 40 is now OPEN

For the past 2 years all we have seen around STL are signs like these:
Why? Because the main hwy, hwy 40 or Interstate 64, has been under major construction. They closed down the hwy so that they could re-build the road. To be honest, I am tired of contruction cones, trucks and road blocks. I am also tired of people using our street as a detour.
All we could do is stand back and watch...and follow the detour signs. Grandad Denton was especially hit hard, turning his 20 minute commute to work into 40 minutes each way. It was also difficult for us because we live within walking distance to the hwy and it took on average 10 - 15 minutes just to get on the road. Here is sweet Preston looking at the closed road.
Good news - as of tomorrow morning at 3am, the contructions signs will be no more because the highway is going to be OPEN!
Today, the Dalbey Trio and Grandad Denton joined many others in STL for a party on the highway. We loaded Preston up in the bike carrier and went for a ride on the highway. Yes, it was cold, but so much fun to go on the highway and celebrate the completion of 2 long years of construction. Here are a few photo's from our time today:
I can't wait to drive on the new Highway tomorrow!
