Preston winks at Grandad

The Dalbey Trio headed over to Grandma and Grandad's house tonight for dinner. While at the dinner table, Preston decided to show Grandad how he has learned to wink. It is so cute. He also decided to show Grandad how he is learning to speak in sentences. Tonights sentence: 'bye bye boys'. Enjoy the videos.

Bath Time Fun

Here are a few pictures of Preston having fun in the bath the other night. He just loves playing with his toys and I just love watching him have fun. I imagine that he is going to LOVE the pool. Enjoy!

Trucks in the Kitchen

As some of our friends have mentioned on their blogs, winter is rough season. Often, we have to play indoors and 'cabin fever' can set in quickly. The Dalbey Trio is hanging in there. We have been trying to find as many 'fun' activities as we can to pass the time. We have been enjoying playing with the kitchen Preston received for Christmas. He turned his kitchen into a shelf for trucks. I think it is really cute and, let me say, a good way to use all the space available in his little play room. We hope everyone is doing well.

Starbucks Mugs

While away on his adventure with his cousins, Steven was able to find two more Starbucks Mugs to add to my collection. I am very excited to add Ohio and Cleveland to my collection (Yes, I have been to these places before). Now, I just need about 30 more mugs to catch up to our friend, Eric Larsen :)

Steve hanging with the Cousins

Steven returned yesterday from a weekend away in Pennsylvania with his brother, cousins and Uncle Ben. He had a great time and was so encouraged being with the guys. (Thank you Perrin family for the photo).

Lucy & Preston

Our dear friend, Lucy, came over to babysit Preston yesterday. Preston LOVES Lucy and had a great time with her. Here is a photo of the two of them - so sweet.

This is cool

My friend, Tim, introduced me to this website the other day: I think it is great because it has so many new/fun ideas for my house. Enjoy!

Post UNwind Retreat

Steven and I had a wonderful time on the UNwind retreat. This is a retreat for Youth Pastors/Directors and their families. We were able to rest, laugh and connect with other dear friends. Here is our group photo on the last day. Thank you to all for a wonderful time.
Here is a photo of my friend, Ruthanne, and I. Ruthanne is a dear friend from our trips with MTW overseas. I pray the Lord will continue to guide you and provide for all your needs. Thank you for a wonderful time and great conversation.
Here are a few photos of Steve and his friend, Drew. I think this is their way of showing affection for one another...whatever.

Happy Snow Day

Today is a snow day...well, the school that is connected with our Church Parent's day out program was closed so that means it is a snow day. I am very happy to have a snow day and a little extra time to stay home with Preston and play. We also took advantage of the snow and went sledding in our front yard this morning. Enjoy the pictures!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year from the Dalbey Trio. We are doing well, just busy with all that a new year brings. Steven and I had a lovely weekend together and then hit the ground running on Monday at work. With all that is, or is not, going on I have not had much of a desire to blog about our I apologize for those who are eager to know what is going on and see pictures of our sweet little boy. We are well and here are some updates from the past few days.

Steven is doing well and has been very busy hanging out with students and families the past few days. He is also working hard to complete our 4 year old bathroom renovation project. This past weekend he installed new track lighting and it looks great! He plans to continue working on this until it is complete. Here are a few pictures of him hanging out with Preston and the updates in the bathroom. Preston has officially become a sponge. He is repeating everything Steven and I say and it is so sweet. He also continues in his passion for books, especially books about cars, trucks and trains. I think I have read the 'Thomas the Train' books about 50 times the past week. All this is good and we love watching him grow and learn. Preston also headed back to PEEP's this week. PEEP's is a mothers day out program through our Church. Preston loves to hang out with his friends, color and play. Here are a few pictures of Preston from the past week:

I (Katrina) have been busy working on some New Year resolutions. Yes, I like New Year resolutions because it gives me some specific goals to achieve and items to work on. This year I have three resolutions: First, I would like to plan more down time/relax time in our family schedule. Steven and I do not share the same day off during the week so Saturday is often the only day we can be together as a family without anything else going on. I am going to strive to keep that day quiet so that we can be together. Second, I would like to finish some home projects this year. This includes painting the bathroom, hallway and sun room. I am going to organize our home office so that it can be used and I would like to turn our basement into a space that can be used for Preston to play or for friends and students to come over and hang out. Third, I would like to do more reading and writting this year. In order to accomplish this resolution I must decrease the amount of TV I watch. I am just going to have to pick my favorite shows and turn off the TV when they are over. I will keep you updated on these goals. Good news: I have started working on cleaning our home office. Here are some before and after pictures:
