The Magic House

Peyton and her friends had the opportunity to go to the Magic house this past weekend.  The girls had so much fun exploring and were completely wiped out when they left.  Here are a few pictures of our fun time together.  Peyton and her friend C enjoyed taking care of the babies.
Peyton and her friend J also had fun playing house with the giant doll house.  Peyton was a little upset when I told her we had to leave.  I am so thankful that she loves to play with babies.
Peyton did some of her own exploring the water and car repair areas.  I guess her brother has rubbed off on her a little bit.  I am so thankful we could have this time together.

Cousins at Christmas

I just can't let another day go by without posting a few of these photos.  Here we have Preston and Peyton with their cousin, Miss E, on Christmas Eve.  The kids are wearing the Santa PJ's and they are having a blast!  Preston, who is a typical oldest child, is pulling his cousin around my Dad's house while Peyton happily chases after them.  They did this for a solid 20 plus minutes before the adults decided that it was time to move on to another activity.  Oh yes, the wagon you see in the picture was a Christmas gift for cousin A (not pictured) and she had not yet arrived at the house.   Lesson learned: If you don't wrap a toy on Christmas eve the kids are sure to play with it.
I think this series of photos is awesome.  Just look at the expressions on all the kids faces.  Priceless.

Catching up on Christmas Photos

I know, I know.  Christmas was almost a month ago. I'm sorry.  I really meant to post these pictures a few weeks ago.  Life happens.  I'm glad I finally remembered to post these images now.  Its also nice to go through these pictures again and remember the wonderful times we shared together over Christmas with family.  Just look at the following picture of Peyton opening her Ballerina doll!  Adorable!!  She is such a sweet little girl.
She takes care of her doll so well.
We loved spending time with cousin Estella.  We love you!
Alice is adorable as always.
Preston loved opening his Firetruck gift.  He is such a creative and energetic boy.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with family and friends.

Snow Day - Part 2 - bubbles

Last week was bitterly cold.  It looked so beautiful from inside with all the snow on the ground…but the temps were very low. I'm talking -1 for the high.  We didn't leave the house on Monday and then only left the house on Tuesday for Peyton's routine dr. app.  I took advantage of our being outside that day and tried to see if the kids could blow some bubbles and see them freeze.  I know I have seen pictures of bubbles freezing in the cold temps but our bubbles just blew away.  It was windy.  I'm sure the bubbles eventually froze but we didn't stick around long enough to see it.  Oh well, maybe next time the temps drop down that low.  Enjoy the pictures of the kids.

Snow Day

I want to post some pictures of our Snow Day last week before life continues to fly by.  How does time pass so quickly?  I guess between work, family, photography, a social life, home, etc… I stay pretty busy.  Anyway, here are some fun photos from our time in the snow last week.  As I write this I am thinking this will be part 1 as we had a couple opportunities to head out in the snow last week.  Stay tuned.  I'm so thankful my children allow me to document their lives with my camera.
Is there anyone that doesn't like to make a snow angel?   I sure hope not.

Birthday Party

Birthday Parties are a lot of fun.  Well, I think they are a lot of fun!  Preston and Peyton have been invited to a handful of parties the past year.  Their friends from Church and school are super fun and creative.  Today, Preston was invited to a party at a Gymnastics Gym and it was awesome.  Here are a few pictures from our time there. I think you can see that the kids had a lot of fun.
Peyton always jumps in to play at these events.  She has no fear!
This boy jumps pretty high.  I loved watching him go!
I wonder where my kids get their energy?!
Here is Preston's friend and the Birthday girl!  She is a sweetheart.
Now, only 2 and half months until Peyton's 3rd Birthday party…I'm thinking a ballerina party :)

Organizing

Part of my new years resolution is to organize some things in our house.  My home office/bedroom is one of those places. I have so many papers, cards, camera equipment, etc... that has just taken over.  This is not cool.  So, I am on a mission this month to get things clean.  Here are some photos and words on my process.
First, I have a bin FULL of cards and letters.  My goal is to take this and organize the cards into books.
I started to make some good progress. I'll show some more pictures after my work this weekend.
This bin is where I will hold my extra camera equipment and important boxes.
Here is a look at the work.  The closed bin holds all my blank cards.  Yes, I am one of those people who has a stash on hand ready for almost any occasion.
Not a bad start to the new year!!

Happy New Year

The Dalbey family would like to wish you a Happy New Year.  2013 had many challenges and blessings for our family.   Some highlights from our family include Steven's new job, Katrina's mom passing away, going on our first vacation in 3 years and celebrating 10 years of marriage.  It hard to believe that is is 2014.  Certainly, we have many hopes and goals for this year.  Some goals for the year include keeping my house organized…. or maybe just modestly clean, growing my photography business, and scheduling quality time with my family.     Thank you for your continued support, care, prayers and love.  We have so much to be thankful for and look forward to a wonderful year.  Please stay connected with our family via this blog.
